45th Annual Reno Swap Meet at Arco Arena

This is the original RENO SWAP MEET that was started by Bill Harrah in 1965.

• Gates Open to Public Sunday August 1, 6am

• Gates open for Vendors and Car Corral 5am

• NO ASSIGNED SPACES

• You are given assigned spaces when you arrive.

• (We have over 11,000 spaces on the grounds)

• Do not worry all vendors will be accommodated !

• Pre-registration is not required.

• We have special room rates at nearby hotels

• This a traditional classic car & parts swap meet plus a car corral for vehicles for sale.

• This not a flea market! Please Automotive related items only!

• (Early Vendor Set up Sat July 31 – 5pm – 11pm.)

• Over night RV area on the Arco grounds July 31
RV Spaces $30.

• Vendors may also camp in their spaces.

Q. Do I need to pre-register?
NO, vendor spaces and car corral spaces will be available at the gate. There will be plenty of room for late comers. Vendor set up starts at 5am on Sunday.

Q. Can I set up early on Saturday, July 31?
YES, we will open at 5-11 pm on Sat. for early set-up.

Q. Can commercial vendors come?
YES, we are focused mainly on the used parts sellers, but have room for commercial vendors.

Q. Do you have RV spaces for spectators?
YES, we will have an area for spectators to camp on Sat. night so that they can be there at the crack of dawn to grab the deals.

Q. Is it okay for vendors to sell on Saturday?
YES, we have no restrictions. Once a vendor has setup it’s fine with us if they want to sell all night to other vendors. The parking lot lights will be on all night long.

Q. Will you have spectator hot rod parking area?
YES, we will have a limited area for people driving their classics and rods to park in. All we ask is that there be NO “For Sale” signs on the cars in that area.

Q. Is there a charge for parking?
NO, spectator parking is FREE. General Admission is $6 per person. Note: Last year, some people paid $24 and thought that they were paying for parking. You will be charged admission as you drive through the gate, don’t be confused … they are collecting $6 admission for each person in the car. This is not a parking charge.

Q. Are you providing shuttles to the parking area?
NO, please be ready to do a lot of walking … the grounds are huge and there will be many, many, vendors and it will require a lot of walking to cover all the swap meet.

Q. Is it okay to bring a picnic lunch?
YES, it’s okay to pack a lunch – we will have food and drinks available, the only thing that we ask is that NO alcohol is in the swap meet area. And you can NOT Sell food or drink in your spaces.

Q. Will the vendors be open all day?
The vendors are not required to stay in their spaces the entire day ... Many will sell out and leave early. That’s just the way a “traditional swap meet” operates. So, plan on coming early to catch all the deals. If you come at 2pm you will see some empty spaces.

Q. Can I bring my 1980 El Camino to the car corral?
YES, the fee for 1973 and newer cars will be $40.

Q. Will there be vendors and cars inside the Arena?
NO, we will NOT be using the inside arena, just the Arco parking lot.

Q. I have paid for 3 spaces and now I need to add 2 more spaces, can I do that at the Gate?
YES, if you need more spaces you will be able to expand when you set up.

Please, call us and get the straight info – word of mouth has a way of getting twisted and distorted.

Many of our long time vendors, who have been with us over the years and who had quit going up to Nevada, when the room rates and all the City fees got out of control, have now returned and many will be selling exclusively with us at our new location at the Arco Arena.
